Building a new home is exciting, but it can also be overwhelming. Our fully insured Construction Stage Inspections provide independent inspections at every key stage of your build, helping identify defects, incomplete work and poor workmanship before construction progresses.
With inspections throughout the build, you'll have confidence that your home is being built to the expected standard from the ground up.
Construction stage inspections are available at the following stages:
Subfloor Stage
Concrete Slab - Pre-Pour
Before the concrete is poured, we inspect the formwork, reinforcement steel, moisture barrier and service penetrations to ensure everything is ready for the next stage of construction.
Timber Framed Subfloor
For homes built on a timber subfloor, we inspect the bearers, joists, posts, footings and structural connections to identify defects before the flooring is installed.
Frame Stage
Once the frame is complete, we inspect the walls, roof trusses, bracing, tie-downs and structural framing to ensure the home is ready for the next stage of construction.
Pre-Plaster (Lock-Up) Stage
Before the plaster is installed, we inspect the framing, plumbing and electrical rough-ins, heating and cooling, wall wrap, windows and doors. This is the last opportunity to identify issues before they're covered.
Fix and Waterproofing Stage
At this stage, we check internal finishes, cabinetry, skirting, architraves, doors and waterproofing in wet areas. We make sure finishes meet quality standards and that waterproofing has been applied correctly to prevent costly water damage in the future.
Final Handover (PCI)
Before you move in, we carry out a thorough inspection of your completed home to identify defects, incomplete work and items requiring attention before handover.
Detailed Same-Day report
You'll receive a comprehensive same-day report, complete with photographs and clear explanations to help you understand our findings and discuss any outstanding items with your builder before construction progresses to the next stage.
